Education

The Mental Health Association provides a variety of programs designed to
promote mental health and to address related issues.

IBuscando Soluciones -- These community forums are held in the Latino Community Development Center.  Relevant topics are discussed in a bi-lingual format and are free and open to the general public.

Depression and the Older Adult
-- Senior Centers, Retirement Communities, and other locations in central Oklahoma will serve as sites for free Depression Education and Screenings for Seniors.

University and College Support -- MHACO is working with local university campuses, helping to educate students on available resources to help address emotional and mental health challenges.

RECESS -- Whether on-site or in a centralized location, this lunch-and-learn program for the corporate sector offers techniques for  managing stress.  For more information or to schedule a RECESS for your company, call Rhonda at 286-0216 or email her at rhondamhaco@coxinet.net.

QPR Training -- In the same way that CPR training enables anyone to save a life in crisis, QPR training helps people prevent death by suicide.  Community groups throughout central Oklahoma are learning to "Ask a Question, Save a Life."  MHACO has two certified QPR training instructors on staff; contact Rhonda at 286-0216 or rhondamhaco@coxinet.net to arrange a QPR Training for your group.
