About Us
Mental Health Association of Central Oklahoma is a 501(c)(3) non-profit United Way of Central Oklahoma Partner Agency.
The Mental Health Association of Central Oklahoma is governed by a volunteer board of directors and receives financial support from United Way, membership fees, program fees, contributions, foundation grants and special events.
The MISSION of MHACO is to improve understanding, prevention and treatment of mental illness and promote mental health through education, services and advocacy.
Purpose And Goals
- To recognize and respond to the mental health needs
of the community - To initiate steps to meet those needs through referrals and
educational materials and programs - To organize community-wide responses to acute situations
where the mental health of individuals is affected - To help eliminate the stigma associated with mental illness
